The California High-Speed Rail Authority is expanding to meet the demands of planning the first high-speed rail system in the nation. The CAHSR program offers numerous contracting opportunities  across a broad spectrum of services and materials.

The California High-Speed Rail Authority is committed to building a high-speed rail system that minimizes impacts to both the natural and built environment, encourages compact land development around transit stations, and helps California manage its pressing issues with climate change, traffic and airport congestion, and energy dependency.

The California High-Speed Rail Authority is responsible for the development of the HSR project in California. Most of the information found on this website comes from the CA HSR Authority. The Californians for HSR have regularly attended Auhtority Board Meetings and regional community meetings since 2005.

The High-Speed Rail project is under contruction. The project is managed by the CA HSR Authority. Initial construction projects (CP 1-4) from Merced to Bakersfield.

The Californias for High-Speed Rail a non-profit organization seeks to inform people about the project and provide factual data.
